Take it from an ex professional football player who spent the last 6 years working with city professionals exclusively, completely obsessed with looking for an answer to how to get them results despite their limited focus, time, energy and attention.

The first one is knowing that unless you get some quick results in the first 2-3 weeks your chances of a breakthrough drop down to 20-40%.
This is a lesson I learned whilst playing football. Let me explain.
When I was 15, we had a coach who made us go all out in the first 15 minute of each game with the aim of trying to score the first goal. And when we did that and managed to score the first goal, the game changed. It was a game we controlled. The goal gave us a massive psychological advantage.
Now with such advantage, it didn't matter if our opponent was as good as us or better, they had a very hard time doing anything about it. And ultimately thanks to this strategy we won most of our games and became the champions of Slovakia in our category during that season.
Coincidence? A bit of research into Premier League football reveals that, according to statistics, whoever scores the first goal loses only 11% of the time, has 17% chance of drawing and 71% chance of winning.
Now this is where it connects. About 4 years ago I sat down in disbelief, internally broken. Most of the fitness industry tricks up my sleeve, we still only managed 40% success rate with my clients which is the high end industry standard.
But then I noticed something that changed it all. People who had the most successful body transformations had all seen some very fast results at the start of their journey, it got them hooked and brought in more continuous results. And people who failed to achieve things were usually up to a slow start, lost their focus along the way and stopped paying attention.
It's all about psychology. Seeing some fast results in the first 2-3 weeks seems to be the key to your success as a professional because it has the same psychological effect on you as scoring the first goal has on a football team.
And statistically, once that happens your chances of having a breakthrough are much higher and your chances of not having a breakthrough go down dramatically. And once you blow your chance it’s hard to rebuild that enthusiasm. So what you need is some fast results at the beginning which for most people seems to be 2-3kg in the first 2-3 weeks and you easily ride the wave after that. That’s the rule number one.
Now the second thing because as good as losing 2-3kg in the first 2-3 weeks sounds, most people are very busy both professionally and socially so achieving this could feel like too much effort, focus and energy you mat not necessarily have.
And if you think about it. If you’ve had a long stressful day, you’re tired, hungry, didn’t sleep well and have to go have a workout but don’t feel like it and you want to have something quick and comforting to eat as opposed to following a strict meal plan, I’m not surprised. Sounds like you would need a lot of willpower to get through this.
And that's where 60-80% of professionals fail. Because their workout and exercise programmes need too much willpower to follow. I’ve learned this from a guy called Steven Larsen. He said: "Will power is cr*p because will power WILL run out. If you want to be successful put yourself in the right environment."
And that's the second key because if you’ve done things previously that required a lot of will power no wonder it felt very hard. It’s because most of the time you had to do things you didn’t really want to do or your mind was somewhere else. But if you feel hooked and if you feel sucked into whatever you’re doing, you won’t be needing much of the will power. You’ll be looking forward to getting things done.
So environment is the key. And how do you accomplish that with a weight loss programme? Microevents. Something exactly like seeing the first 2-3kg drop in the first 2-3 weeks because when you experience something like that you know you’re onto a winner and you’ll want to do it as well as you can, no one needs to beg you, shout at you or send you motivational quotes.
And it’s really funny because we’ve had some people that used to struggle and were usually very busy, a bit lazy or tired and wanted to do other things but then something triggered them to get in touch, we’ve had a chat about what they wanted to do which fired them up, then they’ve gone through the first couple weeks of their training they saw that 2kg initial drop and that pumped them up and hooked them so they started looking forward to seeing more progress. and because they were engaged their progress continued. It's all about psychology.
So now the last thing because being hooked and seeing progress doesn't mean you'll avoid unexpected meetings, drinks, tiredness and laziness which could easily sabotage your progress.
And at the high end of fitness industry there is a common solution of positive thinking, change of a lifestyle or charity donations. And they sounds all fancy until you realise they're basically mental crutches that don't work. So I started thinking: what makes the differences in the people that have success and people that fail even if they are told to do the same? And one of the things I’ve noticed is they simply see things differently.
And because of that I realised that for you to succeed it is not enough to figure out what workout proramme and a diet someone’s doing and then try to copy it because that’s like trying to copy an iceberg by only copying what we see above the water. If we really want to see similar success we need to copy the entire iceberg including the things we can’t see because they are under the water. And I realise that these are the things that are usually said between the sets in the gym when we discuss some concepts of training, nutrition and anything closely related.
And so what we’ve done then is we extracted those conversations, compressed them and put them on steroids so you can access them and watch them as a video set. And because of this specifically this whole things becomes like an event that makes you realise certain things that will guarantee your results and serve you for life.

This is the filter we need to use in deciding our approach. This is the missing element. This is the difference between success and failure.
